i love coco rocha. i think she is a beautiful model who creates such life and movement in pictures, it's phenomenal. she was born in british columbia, canada where she was discovered at an irish dancing competition (she even jigged down jean paul gaultier's f/w 2007 runway).

inspiration

i've always loved roses, the smell, the symbol, the different colours...these lovely ones were growing in the garden so i cut them up and put them in vases around the house. i think i captured them at the best time, when their petals and colours are at the fullest. i love that moment, when the roses are so perfect and the next day they start to deteriorate.

brunch

first of all, i would like to say a happy mother's day to all the amazing moms out there, you are truly fantastic! i went for a mother's day brunch with my family and my best friend's family at this fabulous old mill out in the country. the food was too die for, lobster, crab,eggs benedict, crepes, waffles, a HUGE chocolate fountain(!!!) and tons more. the food is amazing and they had cute champagne that was pink and i loved it. the building was gorgeous, they added a new glass building that overlooks a waterfall and the entire place is surrounded by trees, flowers and bushes and it was sunny today so it was really a spectacular day. not to mention, i finally had an excuse to wear my outrageous fascinator!

i'm having a HUGE dose of nostalgia right now. i think this might be because i'm going to south africa for the first time in 8 years and seeing all of my cousins, one of which i haven't seen in over 10 years (i've moved a lot....) so to say i'm excited is an understatement. so while i reminisce about the good ole days, i'm blasting some S Club 7 and Hilary Duff, very cool, i know. one of my favourite parts of my childhood was harry potter so i was so excited when i got this sweater from my grandma. today was surprisingly cool in the morning so i tossed it over an old shirt dress that i had completely forgotten about. hope you're having a great week and remember its wimgardium leviosAH not wimgardium leviosAR ;)
