tarzan

so i got feather extensions put in my hair today...it kind of looks like i walked through a bush right now but i'm hoping that once i've washed and styled by hair a couple times with it in, it'll look better. it's a pretty cool hair accessory for only $25 considering it stays in for about three months!

online shopping

i'm not a big fan of online shopping due to the fact that you can't try on the items and i'm never sure they'll look right (unless i've been brand loyal for a while). my friend natalie showed me this website called nasty gal and i'm completely in love with all the clothes. i adore the scalloped tap shorts and the asymmetric chiffon skirt (both pictured above) and i was just wondering how they fit...have you ever bought anything from them?
i'm definitley considering buying clothes online because its so easy and hassle free. any other online sites you would recommend for clothes that are a different?

Flare leg is not dead

Perhaps I truly belong to a past generation. While skinny jeans have been the prevalent fit since 2004, my larger-thighed self is rather fond of the not-quite-so-'70s-style flare. So when I heard that bell-bottoms were back in trend, I rejoiced in the chance to not stand out in the crowd of tapered legs and ballet flats. Whether the trend has yet to reach Toronto, or just never affected the area where I live (lol I'm not surprised)... or heck, it must've been shortlived! I have no idea.

And so I continued wearing my five (/ten) pairs of jeans- collected since grade six in various washes, but the same fit: the ultra low rise flare leg- like I would anyway, of course. Besides bootcut jeans, they are great at elongating the lower half of your body in heels. Here's three ways to wear them, but the key rule to pulling this off? Feel/look/be artsy and have fun (and excuse the puns).
